Does Plan B effect normal birth control?

By Dick

My girlfriend has been on the pill for about 1-2 weeks. We had unprotected sex (without a condom, that is) and I released some pre-ejaculatory fluid into her. I did not actually ever finish. She panicked and decided to get the morning after pill to make sure of everything.

She says that since she took this pill, her regular birth control will be ineffective for 1-2 months. Is this true? She is using ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN LO and I can’t find any additional information.

Will the Plan B pill effect her normal birth control?

Plan B is for when your normal form of birth control fails (I.E: You forget to take your pill, The condom breaks, Or you simply do not use one)
It shouldn’t effect her normal form of birth control. But it takes a month for Birth Control to be at it’s full effectiveness. If you’re worried about pregnancy, it’s not likely.
But I would consider using condoms for atleast a month after the Plan B, so her body can adjust again. Don’t be silly! Unless you want kids running around.
